How It Works

The finder works read-only from your cost and usage data and your OpenSearch domain configuration to find domains on Intel-based instances that are eligible for Graviton2. Each opportunity appears in your CloudFix Recommendations with its estimated savings, and nothing changes until you approve it.

Once approved, the fixer runs as an AWS Systems Manager Automation runbook in your own account. It moves the domain to the equivalent Graviton2 instance type (C6g, M6g, or R6g) using OpenSearch’s blue/green deployment to minimize disruption, and every execution is logged.
